Crest Dental Whitening Strips
As a person grows older, their teeth tend to naturally grow darker as their tooth structure changes and as stains from bacteria, coffee, cigarettes, and certain types of food build up. To help return teeth to their original bright white color, teeth whitening strips are commonly used.
Crest Dental Whitening Strips are a leading brand of teeth whitening product. To be most effective it is recommended that they be used twice a year (occasionally it is necessary to use them more often if the teeth have significant discoloration).
The gel side of the strip is applied to either the top or bottom teeth by aligning the top of the dental whitening strip just past the edge of the gums. It is pressed firmly against the teeth so the gel on the strip maintains good contact with the teeth. The strip is usually left on for about 30 minutes and then the same is done for the lower teeth. The upper and lower strips have a different shape so they fit the specific teeth better and it is easy to tell them apart.
It may be necessary to repeat the process a few times to achieve the desired level of whiteness, but once it is completed, you should not need to use the Crest teeth whitening strips again for a while, although smoking, drinking coffee and other similar activities may stain your teeth faster and require more frequent applications of dental whitening strips.
